AnatomyTOOL (Subject-Focused Open Learning)

AnatomyTOOL is a platform providing open, peer-reviewed anatomical learning materials and tools used for the study and teaching of anatomy.

Open means it is largely accessible without logging in, and most of the provided materials are licensed under Creative Commons licenses, meaning they can be freely reused.

AnatomyTOOL is an initiative of the Anatomy departments of Leiden University Medical Center and Maastricht University, in collaboration with Anatomy departments in the Netherlands and Flanders. It is under the auspices of the Dutch Society for Anatomists (Nederlandse Anatomen Vereniging - NAV). Its development was supported by a grant from the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science under the 2015 Open Online Education Stimulus program.

The simulations on this site are sourced from AnatomyTOOL and Sketchfab.
